Episode 01 · Caregiving
Can a robot replace a caregiver?
The first question everybody asks. The answer is no, and the reason why turns out to be more interesting than the answer.

Today's affirmation
You are not behind. You are in it.
Before you carry on
This is the same box breathing they teach aircrew and medics, and it works for exactly the same reason: it gives a body that has been braced all morning something predictable to follow.
If you are in the middle of something and cannot stop, that is fine. It will be here tomorrow, and the day after. Nobody is keeping score. Stop early any time you want to, and if you feel lightheaded, stop and breathe normally.
One small thing, today
Proposed slate · coming soon
Caregiving, healing, spirituality and how these machines actually work, for anybody who wants to know. One honest question per episode, the kind people are slightly embarrassed to ask out loud. Answered properly first, then answered funny, because both of those are load-bearing.

When we serve the community, the community serves us back. It does not always happen on schedule, but it happens.

Add yours. Tell us who has been carrying something for you, and we will put it on the wall.
Today's laugh
Physical therapy homework is the only homework where the dog genuinely cannot eat it.
Not because we need the traffic. Because a minute of something steady, at the same time each day, is worth more than an hour of good intentions on a Sunday.
Written by people who have sat up at three in the morning with somebody they love.
